Barrow. The northernmost city in the United States. Population 500. It is a land of extremes. During the month of December there is no sunlight at all. In June there’s sunlight 24 hours a day. It is a land both beautiful and savage. Cut off by miles of rugged wilderness, of sea, and hundreds of miles of endless snow, Barrow is place unlike any other. The people who live here and call this icy desert home are equally as unique.
Barrow is a small community. It is a place where everyone knows your name – and where sometimes they know more than they ought to. Though in some respects it is a contemporary town, people here enjoy good old fashioned values. Many people come to Barrow for the isolation it affords them, some come to enjoy the winter paradise, some come to escape the hectic life in the cities, and some have nowhere else left to go.
This is Life is a real-life RPG where reality is encouraged. There is no main plot, so we encourage members to subplot - however we do plan to throw in some site-wide events at times to keep life interesting. Time here is not strictly linear but at the same time we don’t want people posting too far into the future. As this is a real-life please be mindful of your environment here and post accordingly.
