Detailed Appearance:
(Annara is slender but strong. She is tall for a werebeast but short for Echani, about 6'11. She weighs apx 185 in pounds and carries most of it in her muscle, the rest is in her hips butt and thighs, with a little spared for her moderate chest. In humanoid form, her skin is olive in complexion (though it seems to glow with a cold inner light) with black tribal markings that flow from her temples down either side of her neck to her sides, chest, and back. Her hair is black and shines with different colors in different lights, it waves and occasionally curls wildly; instead of cropping it short like her father's people she grows it long and wears it down as a show of her dis-allegiance to that species. In her werebeast form her main coat is white with red on her back, head, and tail; and the markings on her transfer to dark bloody maroon markings that are identical in position and shape. Her eyes she gets from her mother, they are green with silver flecks but change with strong emotion like her father: red when angered, silver when bored, blue when sad, brown when she drinks, and turquoise when happy or excited. They are almond shaped but very open and she always seems in a state of awareness. Her clothes depend on her mood and what she has recently needed for a job, destroyed, stolen, bought, or lost.)
Strengths:
- (Strong)
- (Nimble)
- (Werebeast blood (better taste hearing smell and sight; along with "instincts"))
- (Stubborn)
Weaknesses:
- (Easily seen in the dark because she glows slightly(in human form))
- (If her adrenaline gets too high she might shift unintentionally)
- (Trusts too easily)
- (Stubborn)
Skills and Abilities:
- (Her wolf form)
- (Her voice when she sings has been known to weave a weak enchantment over those in hearing range (those that can hear of course))
- (Trained to seduce, fight, and kill)
Personality:
(Annara, in spite of her past, is very trusting... at first. If you give her a reason not to trust you after that though, do not expect to gain her trust again easily. It's not that she isn't forgiving (she will forgive the incident, but not let another one like it take place), she's just been burned one too many times and she's not stupid enough to go around asking for more. Once you get close to her, you may be in for a trip. She tends to like something of an extreme, and she hates to be bored. So, for example: big city or deep nature, not small town; rowdy bar or romantic date, not a quiet night with friends. Things to that effect. Her sense of humor is sarcastic and dry. She tends to make fun of little things for the amusement of whomever she's with. There's no malice or ill will in it, that is just the way she relates. When others do it to her, she laughs right along with them. There are little habits she has, quirks sort of. When she's thinking about something, she often plays with her neck or her necklace (if she's wearing one). Sometimes she breaks out in random dance (and often song) because usually there is random music stuck in her head. Because of her werebeast blood, she has certain senses and feelings that she wouldnt otherwise have. Her sense of smell, hearing, sight, and taste are different and stronger. Sometimes she gets feelings from her wolf about danger or where "prey" is, she doesn't know exactly what it is, she just calls it instinct. Her attitude is more often than not light and fun loving. So naturally she isn't very good at hiding her emotions. Unless she is on a job or a hunt, then she turns into a completely different person. On the job she is deadly serious, and in spite of her usually light attitude, she tends to be scary. She knows she could trade her skin for a hide and tear your throat out in a second. Smile.)
Prized Possessions:
- (An assorted collection of knives, throwing stars, daggers and other such quiet weapons.)
- (Her mother's ring, a simple silver band with a detailed tribal design expertly etched into it. When she studies the design she often thinks she sees wolves chasing one another in it, but it's very abstract and she can't be sure.)
- (Her chain blade whip, not often practical, but pretty. :) )
History:
(Her mother was a street walker, her father has a very drunk, very low Echani. Conceived in one night partying on Earth, Annara was an accident as she was often reminded. Her mother wasn't cruel, but the people around her were. When her mother couldn't support her anymore she was given to an orphanage. Through the remaining eight years of her "childhood" in human terms, she was kept there, no one even faked interest in her. There were two emotions she came to expect from prospective parents, revulsion and pity. No one would even agree to foster her. So she grew up in a home without love. On her eighteenth birthday she was released to the care of the streets. Luckily, her mother was still alive. She found the woman who had abandoned her and they lived and worked together. Her mother had moved up by then and was being cared for by an influential human scientist, so she and Annara were safe from the experiments that had made Annara's grandparents what they were (werebeasts). Unfortunately happiness couldn't last. Annara's "step-daddy", was a little too interested in her and soon that became all too apparent. The first time he tried to rape her was the first time she killed a man. Her mother watched and when it was over they went into hiding in the nightlife, they never looked back or heard much else anout him except for seeing a newspaper article about his funeral. They didn't have jobs, but that didn't mean they didn't have work. Her mother's old connections were still good and Annara was soon walking a very dangerous path of odd jobs with her mother. They did everything from silencing witnesses to running drugs on the surface; but there was one thing they never ever did, Annara's mother never sold her body again, and Annara never did it in the first place. Annara was half Echani, so she was still relatively young when her mother died, 38 years. Her mother died without pain, but that was only because her neck was broken. When Annara killed "step-daddy", his associates assumed it had been her mother. His associates were apparently very upset. Annara was in their little loft when the men broke down the door. Her mother seemed to know it was coming, she backed Annara up against a window,"It was me, do you hear me? I killed him." she said and she pushed Annara out. The men didn't know Annara could easily change and fly to safely, they thought the only witness was taken care of, so by the time Annara in her hawk form got back up to the window she was just in time to see her mother murdered. She cried out once before a loud crack announced her neck was broken, then she fell limply to the floor. Annara never went back there after that day. The last thing she did there was take a few belongings and go.)
Roleplay Sample:
(Lilith breathed in the scent of jasmine in the air. The falls were getting nearer. This time of year no one but the dragons came to them. The fall air was crisp, it was still early and a dusting of frost was still gathered under the shadow of the thick canopy. She held a silken robe tightly over herself as she shivered lightly. She loved the feel of silk on her scaled arm. It was light and smooth, she could imagine for a moment the scales weren't there and her past had never happened. That it was all a bad dream. Her dark hair spilled over her shoulders in straight lochs as she slipped the robe over them. She stretched her wings and the breeze blew away the feeling of grime and sweat since she'd been holding them to her back. She pushed off the ground and flew up to the top of the falls. She went out a bit from the spray and folded her wings back as she dove forward when she hit the water she simply slipped in, making a ripple slide across the calmer water of the deep pool. She surfaced near the edge and sat on a rock ledge. The water on top of the falls had sat in the sun long enough to warm a bit, on top of the warm spring that the river came from. She was comfortable as she waited for her sister to wake up. She enjoyed her time alone in the mornings when they met at the falls.
Eve let her hair swing lightly in the fresh morning breeze. She'd started the fire back at camp. She'd flicked her fingers lightly in that direction, and sent sparks to the tinder. It was going fine now. She could smell a hint of smoke in the air, it hadn't gotten out of control, just the campfire shed wanted. She smiled to herself and took another deep breath. The air smelled purer, it was full of jasmine and cool water. She hadn't changed from her night clothes. She wore a tunic of beige cotton. A simple chord of twisted red silk at her waist. She had a pin on the front that held two simple rubys, in the shape of a dragonfly. The last time she had seen Lilith she had gotten it as a gift. She didn't ask where it came from, she had a feeling it hadn't been acquired legally. She held her staff in her left hand loosely, her pinky sliding over the familiar knots and creases in the wood. She felt her hair brush her thighs now and then, she wanted to tie it back, but there would be no point once she got to the falls. Eve found Lilith’s clothes easily in the dense forest, though they were hidden by fallen leaves, she picked out the one piece of red fabric among the fiery leaves. She loosened the red chord of silk at her waist and pulled off the dragon fly pin hanging the chord on a branch. She unwrapped her thigh length tunic, hung it next to the chord, and pinned the pin back onto it. She placed a protection charm on the pin. If anyone were to touch it but her, they would be burned. Eve crept silently through the brightening forest until she saw Lilith. She walked quietly to the edge directly behind her sister and jumped, somersaulting, into the warm waters.
Lilith was startled and splashed when eve jumped in. “Show off!” She laughed splashing Eve back. Eve dove and tugged on Lilith’s tail making her go under as well. They both resurfaced laughing and sputtering.)
